Today I was sitting in my dorm room, doing nothing really, when I had a brainwave. My older sister told me about this project she and her friend is doing. It's called 99 in 999. Basically, you come up with 99 things you want to do, a bucket-list, that you have to do in 999. At the end of her 999 days she will donate $1 to the St. Jude's Research Hospital for every goal she does not accomplish. This project of hers popped into my head while sitting in my dorm room and I've decided to do the same. So me, my sister, her friend and anyone else can join in so we can give kids the chance to accomplish their own dreams.
This project is not just completing mindless tasks, it's about accomplishing dreams that I've always had. This gives me a time limit, which means I actually have to work at these things, not just say I'll do them after college, or when i find a job.
Everyone has goals they've set. Everyone has those small things that they've always wanted to do but have never gotten around to it. Well, here's your chance. Make your own list of 99 things to accomplish in 999 days. Maybe we'll all be able to fulfill our lives in ways that we never thought we could.
So, my list will soon come up and the day it does is the day I begin. Let the 999 days begin!
